About

Welcome to my corner of the Internet!

I am a writer living in Dallas. My work has appeared in The Dallas Morning News, Christianity Today, Magazine, Southern Humanities Review, and Texas Monthly, among other publications. In 2019 my short fiction was featured at the Dallas Museum of Art as part of Texas Bound, a literary showcase featuring Texas-connected actors reading fiction by Texas-connected authors. In 2015 I was a finalist for the Christine Eldin Memorial Fellowship for emerging middle grade writers hosted by The Lascaux Review. I have a B.A. in philosophy from Hillsdale College and an M.F.A. in creative writing from Seattle Pacific University.

If this is your first time visiting, may I suggest starting with this essay about the car accident that changed my life or this essay about my first solo camping trip.

If you would like to know each time I post, follow me by email in the box on the right.

If you are looking for a writer to help you on a project, please drop me a note.

If you connect with something I wrote, please let me know! I love hearing from readers!
